Ministry Biography

M.E.E.T. Ministry was started in 1988 by Drs. Thomas and LaVerne Jackson. The Word of God and the inspired writings of Ellen G. White provided the blueprint for how the ministry was to be set up and how it was to operate.

M.E.E.T. Ministry is incorporated in the state of Tennessee as a 501(c)(3) Christian charitable organization. It is located on 120 acres in Carroll County, Huntingdon, Tennessee.

Dr. Thomas Jackson has a multi-faceted educational background. He has a BA in Primary and Secondary Education from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa; an MA in Education Administration from North Eastern Illinois University; a PhD in Lifestyle Medicine from Ashford University, London, England; and a certification in Biblical Life Coaching from Life Breakthrough Academy. Dr. Thomas Jackson has gained considerable teaching and administrative experience in the education system at the primary, secondary and university levels.

Dr. LaVerne Jackson also has a multi-faceted educational background. She has both a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.A in Nutritional Science from Ashford, University, London, England; and a PhD in Nutritional Science from Novus University. Dr. LaVerne Jackson has leveraged her extensive education and experience to ensure that biblically based nutrition is a cornerstone of her ministry evangelistic efforts.

Drs. Thomas and LaVerne Jackson have travelled extensively throughout the United States and around the world educating and training gospel-medical missionaries for the last 46 years. They have conducted training schools in the West Indies, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia, Canada, British Columbia, Sweden, Scotland, Denmark, Kenya, Botswana, Zambia, England, Surinam, Fiji, and the Solomon Islands. Currently, there are trained Gospel-Medical Missionaries working in these countries who were originally taught by Drs. Thomas and LaVerne Jackson.

In addition, Meet Ministry has established a home-like lifestyle center in Jamaica, according to the following inspired counsel:

“I spent three weeks at the Paradise Valley Sanitarium, but was sick all the time. I contracted a severe cold on my way down there. In order that the others in the building might not be exposed, I kept very closely to my own room. The day before I left, Brother and Sister Richardson insisted on seeing me, that they might tell me of the many advantages that Jamaica possesses for sanitarium work. I certainly hope that this field may be entered by earnest laborers.” Manuscript Releases, vol. 14, p. 248

M.E.E.T. Ministry was established as an outpost center to work the cities through the means that God has ordained. The ministry carries out its ordained mission through the following areas:

Our Home Natural Health Lifestyle Center, School of Gospel-Health Evangelism, City Evangelism, Media Evangelism, Publishing Evangelism, Health Food Products and Educational Services such as family life and life-style coaching, gardening schools, and retreats.

Currently the ministry has 30 full time workers who are responsible for conducting the operation of the ministry. It is governed by a board of directors which is, in turn, governed by the ministry’s by-laws.

The ministry is financially supported by the following: Donations, “Our Home” Life-style Center, School of Gospel-Health Evangelism, On-line School of Gospel Health Evangelism, Publishing Industry, Leaves of Life Herbal Industry, Health Educational Seminars, and Health and Wellness counseling and coaching.
